Hey Black Mom, Can You Handle the Weight of the Weight?
Many of us have God given visions and dreams that have yet to manifest. And even those that have manifested are not fully developed due to a myriad of complexities.
I come to you today to ask you, “Can you handle the weight of the weight?”
By weight, I mean the very thing that God has called you to do. He designed it specifically for you, but where you are now, where you find yourself today, I ask – can you handle it?
Not just in your job or your academic path, but many live in fragmented homes, charred with smoldering wood pieces of divorce, financial issues, issues in your health.
One of my favorite scriptures to quote is: To Whom Much is Given, Much is Required – (Luke 12:48). Oftentimes I find myself repeating this scripture if I am overwhelmed, or when I’m procrastinating in any area of my life.
The scripture gives me hope because it refocuses my thoughts and helps me to realize that God can trust me. And because I am trusted by Him, all that He has blessed me with, I am capable of handling it.
So my question to you today is: Can you handle the Weight of the Weight? Can you handle marriage, parenthood, the new job, the business, the finances, etc.?
I believe that you can with a simple behavioral approach called balance. God would not have given you the vision, the idea, the ability if you weren’t able to handle it.
He who started a good work in you will finish it. Just trust Him. Meditate on His word and His promises and ensure that you have a strategy in place to balance all that you have been entrusted with in this season.
